Delicious! Best Chicken Dumpling soup around. The strawberry french toast is also amazing! Haven't had a thing I didnt like there yet.

This place is absolutely one of the finest restaurants in the neighborhood. Always when I go there I am remarkably happy. They preserve their high standard service and the highest level of dishes they provide. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Planned on having lunch, granted the place was a little busy, dirty dishes were stored next to my table. Watched the two wait staff empty the trash and hand it off to the cook. One waitress wiped her hands on her pants and preceeded to dish up a cup of soup and serve it. The other waitress came to take our order, we asked kindly for her to wash her hands which she did. While gone we discussed if we really wanted to eat here, when the waitress returned, I kindly informed her we changed our mind and informed her we did not want to sit next to dirty dishes and she pointed to a table that was right next to the door, which we didn't want either.

The greasy spoon of Stevens Point. Good place as an after bar bite to eat. Food is ok. Service is friendly. Prices are cheap. Best coffee in point. Will go back.

If you need a place that has value, good food, and a 24/7 sign out front South Point is where its at!! Always get breakfast food and its great. Shakes/coffee aint too bad either. Beats perkins in many aspects in my opinion.

I had a cheeseburger and it was AMAZING. Service was very quick and the waitress was super polite. The place was super clean. Did I already say the food was great? Because it was so good, I think I'm going there for a quick bite right now.

A nice 24 diner with plenty of affordable plates. Would give five stars, however my last visit (late night breakfast with some friends) a rather drunk man approached our table. The waitress did her best to persuade him to leave us alone but finally my husband got the weirdo to leave. If you go late, beware the drunks!

The building is rather small, true, but the excellent food more than made up for that. The waitress we had was polite and accommodating. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants a good home-cooked meal, but doesn't want the inconvenience of cooking it themselves.

My grandson suggested it and it did not disappoint. But heads up, take cash they do not take credit cards. The food was very good. Its American comfort food at its finest. It was like an old fashioned diner from the 50s. 10 out of 10 we will visit again. Our server was the best and we had 7 people, 4 of them young kids. She worked for her tip and we were glad to give it.

They have good cheese curds, Heavenly Hash dish & omelettes. Small place, but you can take out. Good employees, good service & pretty cheap.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. Hair on my plate, coffee grounds in filters for the ready set up under the counter where people eat...sneeze, cough and waitress leans on. Full view of kitchen where every plate stopped at the microwave before being served and the waitress carrying cups by the lip area...we did not get straws. Way too many items on the menu....can't be sure what's the freshest . If the front of the house was that dirty. I cannot imagine what the freezer and kitchen look like.First and last time ..this place was so gross.

Honestly one of Point's hidden gems! Great home-cooked meals at unbeatable prices! A heads up that it's cash only, but don't worry there's an ATM machine available if you need (or go to kwik trip). They always have great pies and soup available, and every time I go there I must order a handmade malt! I love how they are available 24/7!

If you want to visit a staple of Stevens Point, South Point Restaurant is the stop. It's been open as long as I can remember, with the doors open 24/7, the crowd is always changing. The food is hot and good, most of the time they have specials on the board. Coffee is hot and the wait staff keeps the cup full. Reasonable prices. No suit and tie are needed, but you are welcome to wear them. You are welcome with any outfit, it's a friendly atmosphere. People are friendly and like to visit around the horseshoe counter. Stop on in, I think you will enjoy the experience.

Top notch food and service. Bring cash because that's all they accept.

One of the best little dive diners I've been to! Cozy atmosphere, great coffee, breakfast, burgers, and pie! The staff are a little overworked but they do an amazing job. I always make sure to tip well, as compared to other restaurants.

Love the food, but kinda small. Can feel a little claustrophobic if lots of people. Only cash accepted. Chicken and dumpling soup is recommended 👍

Have been coming here since a kid, who knows maybe while an infant, and I ALWAYS go back. Never had a bad experience, only ran out of sides (coleslaw and cottage cheese), but always offered me something else for either the price of the side dish, or even free. A waitress once forgot about my soup till the very end, but I told her it was no problem since it wasnt on the bill, but she went and gave me their biggest to go cup full of soup even though I only ordered a cup. I may only cycle around certain foods, but that's simply because their my favorite to get at that specific location. You just cant find food like theirs anywhere else.

Honestly, the food was okay. Not great, but not bad. I was, however, surprised to see the lack of any protocols during this pandemic . No one was wearing a mask....NO ONE. And there was definitely no social distancing. Guests were actually sitting so close to each other they could easily touch shoulder to shoulder. I wanted to leave, but didnt have the time to look for another food option. Granted....this may be because they're in Wisconsin, and protocols may be different...and I am from Illinois, where we've been on strict protocols. But in other places I went while in WI, they were following safety protocols....so.....??????

Not the place to go if you are in a hurry. It is the place to go if you want good food and good service. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is that of a local cafe.THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS. CASH AND CHECKS ONLY!!!
